Accomodation

The house has an incredible view that embraces the whole island, from the northern village of Oia to the beach of Vlychada and the mount of Profitis Ilias on the eastern part. From the upper terrace where you can get from a built staircase, your eyes can reach the south and see the island of Crete.

The two room house can accommodate three people, two in the double-bed bedroom and one in the living room, on a comfortable, traditional built in sofa. It has a fully equipped kitchen for breakfast and meals served on the terrace with the view of the island in front of you as a wonderful, colorful painting.

It offers all the necessary equipment for a comfortable stay, WiFi connection, flat TV screen, cleaning service while the temperature inside the cave is ideal for the warm Greek summer.

Santorini

The famous island of Santorini accepts every year thousands of tourists from all over the world. Its intense volcanic past has created a unique scenery that causes enthusiasm and admiration to every visitor. The caldera, created thousands of years ago, is a rare phenomenon that imposes to the sight.

You can swim at excellent beaches, you can visit famous archaeological sites and museums, you can taste awarded wines in the wineries of the island and you can have fantastic food in the numerous restaurants and tavernas and buy the great local products.

Santorini is an experience that will stay forever in your heart.

Akrotiri

Akrotiri is a small village on the most southern part of the island, famous for its archaeological site of the prehistoric city, destination for thousands of tourists every year and for the colorful Red, White and Black beaches formatted by the volcanic rock where you can go either on foot (to the Red Beach) or by boat from the small port of the village.

A walk on the narrow roads of the village can introduce you to the traditional, local architecture and of course to the remains of the small fortified castle of Akrotiri, the so-called Goulas, which during the Medieval Period used to accommodate the whole population of the village.

The lighthouse, on a small distance, offers an amazing view to the Aegean Sea and the rest of the island especially at sunset time.

Akrotiri is famous for its restaurants and tavernas in the center of the village or by the sea for its fresh fish and local cuisine. You can buy local products such as capper, wine, sun dried tomato, split peas from various producers that you will find in the village or on your way to the light house.

The Joy House is at the top of the hill of the Akrotiri village in a very quiet zone. You can reach it with your car and from this point a narrow road can take you down to the new center of the village in a 10 minutes walk. The house is 800 meters away from the archaeological site of the prehistoric city of Akrotiri and from the village’s beach which is 3 kms away from the light house, an excellent route for an evening walk.
